Welcome to Morning Meditation by Reiki by Leigh.
During my yoga teacher training in Rishikesh India, at the traditional Anand Prakash Yoga Ashram, one aspect of my daily practice that I really enjoyed and found so beneficial was the practice of morning meditation at sunrise. So, it is with pleasure that I bring this simple practice and create the space for you to experience it too.
Meditation is accessible to everyone with or without experience and the benefits are so great with a lot of healing. Through some simple and easy Pranayama (breath work techniques), Pratyahara (direction of the senses) and Dhyana (Meditation, or absorption) we will create a safe and centred space to go within and just be.
Research has shown that simple meditation can reduce the impact of stress, anxiety, depression, chronic pain and provide many other healing benefits. With a slowing down of the breath and heart rate, one is able to more easily become centred and bring their attention to the present moment.
